My name is Brenden Graczak. I am a 20 year old in Saint Louis, Missouri. I'm going to school at Saint Louis University. I have 2 more years until I am done and begin my permanent life-journey to Burkina Faso. My goal in life is to be a missionary to this country. I've made two trips to Burkina before this year, and I am planning on making another trip back this summer. When I went there the first two times, I made a strong connection with the people and they greatly affected my life. They caused me to begin serving the Lord more fully and to want to live out the Great Commission of "going and making disciples of all nations and baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28: 19).
Burkina Faso is a small country located in West Africa. It is considered to be the third poorest country in the world according to the United Nations. There are few natural resources and many droughts that cause the economy to be so poor. The country has a dominant religious population of Muslims and Animists. Only a small portion of the country would be considered Christians. Burkina Faso is in desperate need of physical and spiritual help. And God has called me to be a help to this country.
The most important thing in my journey is impacting people for the glory of God. The only way this is going to happen is through other people's help. The most effective support you can give is prayer. God says in his word, "ask and you shall receive." I firmly believe this promise, and that he is faithful to complete it. So if you would like to help in this way, it would be amazing if you could ask that I may make an influence in Burkina for God's glory. The second way you can support is financially. I need some help in getting over there, and also finances in order to serve there. If you would like to learn more about this trip and help me out financially, click here. Thank you for all your help and for following my blog!
