my calling

Dear friend,

God has recently called me to a great opportunity! He is calling me back to Burkina Faso! Burkina Faso is considered to be one of the poorest countries in the world. It is in Sub-Saharan Africa, where children die every day from disease, starvation, and other painful causes. Burkina Faso is located in the 10/40 window, which means it is a part of a grouping of countries that has the smallest Christian population throughout the whole world. Thirty-five percent of the country has never heard of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

I am very excited about this trip because this is the place where I gave my life to God and where God has used me to bless others. I went to Burkina the winters of 2010 and 2011 where I got to care for orphans, distribute food to starving villages, paint some baby cribs, preach at a church, help build mud brick houses for widows, and help guide people to Christ. The country is dominantly Muslim and also has tribal religions where they worship idols. The country desperately needs people to go in and show God’s love and mercy, and this is my goal. 

I am writing this letter so you can participate in helping these people! Prayer is the most powerful thing we have as believers and having a large group of people praying for me and the country would be very helpful. The cost of the trip is $2,500 and I know that God has definitely called me to go on this trip, and I cannot fulfill this goal on my own. God has also called others to give to His ministry of loving orphans, widows, and the rest of Burkina Faso. Your gift will greatly help the sharing of the Gospel and the helping of widows and orphans.
